Preschool
Are the children anxious for Christmas or what???  They have been little chatter boxes all week!  Technically
speaking, a calendar is too abstract for most preschoolers to grasp.   But we have determined that they need NO
calendar – they have an internal calendar that knows it’s that special time of year. These feelings have gradually
increased each day since we returned from the long Thanksgiving weekend.  We’re so happy they are enjoying
this wonderful season.

The children have been practicing very hard for the play this Friday.  Taking part in a drama not only meets one
more of the Ohio Content Standards, but it also reinforces the Christmas Story.  As visual learners, they get to
see Baby Jesus being worshipped by the Wisemen and the shepherds.  And as auditory learners, they hear the
story being read by the narrator.  Finally, the kinesthetic learners, they get to act out a particular character in the
story.  It has been very heart-warming watching them the last couple weeks.

We truly wish each of you a blessed Christmas!

Kindergarten
Secret angels have been so much fun. The children are great at keeping their secrets, but after the stockings have
been emptied they frequently say, “Do you like what I got you?” I love the innocence of children.
