Amanda Dellinger, a sixth grader at St. Paul's
Lutheran School, is pictured with the awards that
she won at the North Central District Science Fair
in Marion on March 15.  Amanda received a
superior rating on her science fair project “How is
the Quality of Soil Affected by the Soil’s
Management” at her school’s science fair.  This
qualified her to go on to the district contest.  There
she received a certificate of merit for outstanding
achievement in applying the scientific method in
studies of ecology, earth science, or environmental
sciences, a trophy for “Best Earth and Space
Science” project, and a certificate for the best
female project in the geosciences. Amanda is the
daughter of Wayne and Melanie Dellinger of
Marysville.
SCIENCE FAIR ACHIEVEMENT
Students from St. Paul's Lutheran School proudly wear the T-shirts and display their
certificates they earned by taking part in the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Math-A-
Thon.  Through their effort a total of $1969.04 was raised to help with research for childhood
diseases such as cancer at St. Jude’s.  Students raised this money by obtaining sponsors for the
number of math problems completed in special workbooks provided by St. Jude.
